The 'eep!' look is more from the camera flash than from the markering (the little bastard came back for more immediately after being sharpied). So long as he's all up in whatever you're doing, he's a happy camper.

Haha, not that he isn't well-fed, but the truth is that he's just long (and a big rat), so he looks rather tubby in his scrunched up position. I've often marvelled at the rat's metabolism, given how much people food he eats versus how big he is. I mean, if i was eating pieces of sweet and sour chicken the size of my head, let's just say i wouldn't be svelt enough to steal anything from anybody.

speaking of ibook cords, mine started spitting sparks at me the other night so I sucked it up and trundled down to computing services where they probably could've gotten it fixed at apple under warrenty, but the cord was so badly frayed the guy said he'd be laughed at by the techs if he sent it to them.

oh well. at least I didn't electrocute myself :-\
