mousapelli: (flying rat)

is there anyone who would be willing to do a teensy bit of art for me? And can draw rats? I just need something cartoony, we aren't talking high class here.

i'm giving it a whirl, it isn't going so hot.

by now you may have figured out that something is up with the site.

ETA: there is something hilariously pathetic about this rat.

Crap, I was going to volunteer, but my scanner's still broken. What are you looking for?

it's for the site logo thinger that is going to sit in the banner at the top. I was thinking it would be cool to have a cartoony sort of rat doing that yawn-stretch thing rats do, and have the site name sit on his flank and be underlined by his tail a little.

kind of like this (http://www.sprunkers.com/ratbox.jpg), except for the part where i can't draw in real life, much less on a computer.

I'm awful without a photo. *Pokes her rats* I'd like to help, but with the scanner and overextending myself a bit too much lately, I'd hate to let you down. :(

no worries, i'll figure something out. it's not like once i stick the graphic up there i'm stuck with it forever.

actually, that graphic i slapped together in about five minutes is starting to grow on me, in a special ed "aww isn't it ugly" sort of way.

oh, but check this out: it's apparently too early for this rat (http://www.hep.uiuc.edu/home/g-gollin/rat_yawn.jpg).

i thought that might make you smile.

I've got something for you, but I have to ink and scan it. It's not colored though, just a rat outline. I'll either put the scanner on the other computer or try to take a very good photo.

Aww, cute rat!

Okay, sorry to spam your journal so much, but here are two that actually look like yawning.

lol, awww, that last one is adorable! I think that might work out. Is it okay if i twiddle with it a bit in photoshop? It'll look really good when it's colored in and everything, plus it won't be humongous (why can't i spell that?).

thanks so much for doodling these for me, you're wonderful! *hugs*

Yup. A long time ago, but still. Gah! It's a small, small world, isn't it? :)
