mousapelli: (watching)
I wrote Tackey & Tsubasa this morning? That's almost like real writing. Maybe if this week isn't all the fail of last week I might manage more than 200 words of fic.

I went to see the late show of Avatar with my dad, and really liked it. Not that I didn't believe you guys when you all said that I would, but really, deep in my soul I did not believe I was going to like this basically at all, so hey, pleasant surprise.

On the way home it was SO GODDAMNED COLD that my ipod couldn't even hold a charge and turned itself off. I had to hold it between my thighs, which are large and full of toasty, toasty blubber, to keep it on so I could listen to some of BANDAGE finally.

But who else can say they cradled Jin between their thighs tonight?
mousapelli: (mouse doom)
Updated to 10.6! ...now my windows don't collapse to titlebars anymore. Googling reveals that windowshade x hadn't been updated to work in 10.6, and nobody can get any info out of Unsanity, the developers. It's not that it won't work, it's that it's programmed to not load at all in an OS it hasn't been tested on.

Fuck.

It sounds completely ridiculous, but I've literally never had a computer where I couldn't collapse windows to titlebars, and I really think I'm going to have to revert back to 10.5 because of it. I ALWAYS have windows collapsed into bars. Like, remember when everybody was freaking out when the itunes button didn't collapse things right? This is like that only WAY WORSE for me.

WHY IS THERE ALWAYS UPDATE DRAMA. WHY. Isn't there anything else on the entire internet that'll make my windows collapse to titlebars? Why in the hell not?
mousapelli: (wrong yamashita)
God just whatever. You'd think I would learn and not try to update anything ever, so the next time i start to make noises about that sort of thing, somebody just slap me across the face. Sure, Snow Leopard freed up about 20 GB of space from my OS, but I've got 130 GB free, so who gives a damn really.

After kind of a drama with Time Machine, the computer is reverted to its backed-up-yesterday state, and my windows all collapse again. It's not REALLY as easy as apple makes it out to be, cause of the OS change, and I didn't really enjoy the part where it deleted a bunch of stuff off my desktop and then was like "never mind, I quit." But after 2 hours and an embarrassing phone call to [livejournal.com profile] shinigamitabris, I have collapsing windows back again.

And now Time Machine is having some sort of twirly-bar, external-HD-grinding temper tantrum, but I'm just gonna leave it alone until it wears itself out.

Also, if you plug the toaster in and then try to hit the start button on the rice cooker, you don't really make any progress.
