Mal's stream of curses is cut off abruptly as an equally naked River pops up behind Jayne, and when Zoe inquires dryly if the two of them ain't catching a draft in this big old space ship, River tugs the orange hat down tighter over her head by the earflaps and says she is nice and toasty warm.

"...crack your skull open, SOUBI!" Ritsuka shrills, and when Soubi, dripping and shivering in the claw-footed tub, looks over to catch Kio's eye, he can't help but laugh at Kio's exasperated miming of puncturing his eardrums with the paintbrush, and Ritsuka gets so angry he shoves Soubi and nearly DOES crack his skull open.

Wolfram's muttering through the mouthful of waffle was unintelligible, but the message that his world was finally doing something right after all was pretty clear, and Yuuri smiled and ignored his mother's self-satisfied pan-rattlings behind him as he reached over to wipe a smear of syrup off Wolfram's cheek with his thumb.

it isn't until Ritsuka is squinting at the screen in exhaustion that Soubi finally pries the controller out of his hands and agrees to continue levelling up Ritsuka's character for a while, but his nose still wrinkles in irritation when Zero starts whooping behind him at the flailing of Ritsuka's character as Soubi fiddles with the unfamiliar buttons.
