lol, i probably will, but i don't think i can make it from one level to the next in a year on my own. I guess we'll see. I have to find some way of practicing the listening part, because that'll kill me I'm sure.

YAY. Lol, I did not feel confident given the bombing of the one section. But it all turned out okay!

I was thinking of that one Shoon interview i translated, where Shoon was talking about his uni entrance exams and saying that after he'd taken them he kept busy all week and didn't worry, but in that one moment of having to look up his scores of the computer it was all YABAI YO. and then he did a little victory dance, lol.

Was it not worthwhile at all to listen to a thousand fan-subbed shows and pick out what you knew? Also, listening to the music? Because that's what I'm doing and it's slow going, but way better than if I didn't listen...

well yes, it's clearly better than having done nothing. I mean, since I have absolutely no classroom time put into Japanese and nobody to practice speaking with, it's frankly a miracle that I managed to get even 53 pts on that listening section, so yes, the music and all that helps, it's better than nothing, but it's not the kind of test question practice I need to not have the same kind of disaster over again.

well good luck! I'm going to try for the 3 this year, but probably it'll take me a couple tries to pass.

You need a 60% to pass. so on the 4, that would have been a 240/400. I just scraped by!
