Seriously no lie, I will, because this fandom has like zero decent fic despite the fact that entire premise of the show is that two guys who call each other 'partner' inhabit the same body and their eternal rival is the older brother of a pair of totally fucked up orphans who stole their adopted father's corporation (he deserved it). THIS SHOW IS COMPLETE PORN SHOUNEN GOLD.

They shout things like "To continue the path we're walking together YOU HAVE TO DEFEAT GOD" at each other! Also one guy carries around a thing called the Millennium Rod which the HK subs routinely translate as "the Millennium Utensil." I mean really, what else do you people want? HOW CAN I MAKE YOU ALL WATCH IT?!

aside from this chick (http://www.xmagicalx.net/anime/ygo.php), I'd be hard pressed to name even one YGO fic I would call 'awesome.'

my brother and i were totally rewatching before he left for Italy. the original version is like 95 thousand times more fucked up than the american one (not shockingly). and by more fucked up i mean MORE AMAZING. plus, you know, makes sense most of the time.

I'm really beginning to ship mokuba/yugi/kaiba in a completely indecent way. it's weird, since i never felt that at all from the american version. Japanese Mokuba is just way more badass, I think.

I was flying down to South Carolina from New York City on Jet Blue in June with one of my non-anime-obsessed friends and all I could find to watch on the tiny TV in front of me was American Yu-Gi-Oh. It was so random I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on and I kept saying, "Wait, that doesn't happen in the Real Yu-Gi-Oh..." and finally she was like, "You have to get out more."
