we're going to take a little time off--we have some breathing room. Steve might go back to school (did I mention that we both quit at once?) and I'll try to find something a little more congenial. Man, what a drag that place was.

No, no scene. The boss knows why we're quitting in general--no need to rehash it and burn our bridges. They did take us out for drinks after work, though (I'm still a liiiiittle tipsy).

I don't think we'll have much trouble, even with the economy what it is. I'm not proud, and Steve is AWESOME, so between us we'll do okay, I think. I'm optimistic about things. :)
