I have a vitamin D deficiency!

you're probably like 'wtf is she excited for' but it's because the dr's office actually found a problem that had an immediate solution which, as i mentioned before, happens .00001% of the time with me. The internet reports that D deficiency results in fatigue and depression and also periods of abnormal intensity and mood swings, which makes so much sense. But then another symptom is weight loss, so...i'm a little concerned about that one getting reversed since I am not exactly experiencing that atm.

I'm also a little concerned because I've been taking my multi-vitamin regularly for weeks and weeks and weeks (it seems to help a marginal amount with gym/weight loss), and that has 200% of my daily vitamin D already, so lord knows how low that shit really is.

anyway, so i'm off to the CVS to pick up a prescription supplement of like 2000% and then it's possible that i will stop sleeping all the time and also hating everybody. Lol, what? don't worry, i'm sure i'll still be fat, so it won't be like I henshin into somebody completely different.

in other interesting news, GPX+ says i have 100% of the novelty pokemon, even though this one right here still has an evolution I need yet. Hmm.

Hurray for medical usefulness! I hear the RDA for Vitamin D is spectacularly low. I take one of those mega doses too. I think it takes a few weeks (six maybe) for the Vitamin D to build up in your body and start working, so don't quit early. It really helps with the winter blues if you take it all year round.

It's like how I have to take an iron supplement that's 1000% of the RDA recommendation!

Since it's summer, you should try getting outside more for your Vitamin D, too. The sun is the best natural source of it.

I've actually been out at the pool way more than usual already (because it's so hot i don't want to do anything else anyway), so yes, like i said it's kind of a concern. if it was the dead of winter, I would understand.

mmmmmm iron. i bet you that one's coming for me soon, because my mother has always been on supplements for that.

Beat my low score! When I was tested, my level was 7, when minimum is 35.

If you have a major deficiency, the amounts in a multivitamin won't make up the deficit. They'll probably put you on these mega pills (they're something ridiculous like 50,000 IU), which will boost it up. After that, a regular multivitamin will do the trick. Also, almost everyone in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic is deficient, the sun isn't strong enough there.

My entire family has tested deficient. I've got this shit *down*.

haha, no, you're winning. Mine was in the low 20s. Dad got tested at an 11 one time, though.

But yes, they are putting me on some crazy dosage. Exciting!

Finally! A result that can explain why things are happening and how you paying your co-pay isn't a waste of money (for once).

Umm..maybe GPX is confused?

I TRICKED A BOY INTO A DATE JUST AS YOU ORDERED BTW

vitamin D?! but-- okay this 200000% stuff better work and agreed on the whole definitive diagnosis, I've given up all hope with my shitass docs and their BS theories/treatments that they wont even give me. Seriously if they thought the pill would help me I would be all for it, it's free, no drama except they have to make me feel shit for not using it for contraceptive reasons. IDEK.

AHAHAHA GOOD WORK.

yeah, they pretty much never can do anything for me no matter what my issue is (even last summer when i for serious thought my wrist was broken), so this is a refreshing change. We'll see if once my level is back up i actually feel different, since it isn't dangerously low or anything, but anything's worth a shot.

sometimes i think about going back on the pill just for the regularity and clear skin that it provides, but i know that would be instant ten pound gain, so then the urge passes.

Sure? i don't think it's going to be radical change, but I guess anything's worth trying once.

yeah, i would say some confusion is going on there. I'm interested to see what happens when i do evolve this guy.

Well, it's always better than the 'We don't know what's going on with your body so change your diet.' or something like that.
