You know, anybody who's talked to me at all this year will know that I love my hall. I do. My residents have been great, and done a lot of wonderful things, largely without exception.

So I had to make a bulletin board for the end of year. I thought it would be nice for them to write thank yous and goodbyes, so i cut out a bunch of paper stars and left an envelope on my door so they could drop theirs off and I could staple them up, aiming for a little bit of censure.

Four hours later. Several residents have taken about a dozen stars, written some incredibly cruel stuff, and stapled them up themselves. I took a few down before I sort of lost the heart to deal with it.

This is the first time in my entire college career that i just wanted the year to end and everybody to go home.

*hugs* Damnit, sometimes people can be really mean, can't they.

My experience in residence halls at my uni have been remarkably good, but I have a few friends who are RAs and they put up with so much stuff its unbelievable. The only thing I can think to say is that maybe the residents thought it would be funny, or their stressed out and going nutters. Either way, its no excuse.

Well, at least the semester is almost over, and most of the year seems like its been good. Hopefully it will end without too many problems *hugs again for good measure*
