そして、今年もよろしくお願いします (please take care of me this year too) ♥♥♥

2011 had some amazing moments, like Kisumai debuting and being able to go to their debut tour this summer, and ABC-Z surprising debuting as well, and meeting a bunch of new friends on that trip and now on twitter, being able to stay with [livejournal.com profile] snowqueenofhoth in Tokyo and [livejournal.com profile] musikologie in Hawaii. I had lasik, which has changed like, everything, and my brother came home safely from Italy.

But it's also been one of the hardest years in a lot of ways, most notably my grandmother dying and being kicked out as department chair, but even before that I hadn't felt like myself in a long while. I spent a good chunk of the fall too depressed to really do anything. I wrote less than 20 fics this year, which for me is soberingly low, and even failed NaNo for the first time since the 2nd year I did it in grad school. And then 'minor' foot surgery turned into 'have barely been able to walk for a month.' So all I really want this year is:

1. To feel more like myself/not so sad all the time, and
2. for my foot to stop hurting.

Sadly, I can't really do anything about either of those, so I guess I'll have to turn instead to

3. writing much more regularly

either way, as always, without fandom and LJ and my friends in/on it, I can't honestly imagine how I would have even dragged myself out of bed for most of the last year, so thank you, all of you ♥ I hope all of your new years are off to a strong start so far, and that you get just as good a birthday party as Koichi does every year (as seen in my icon lol).
