my mom just called to say that my family is stuck in Dulles and won't be in until probably nine tonight instead of 2 this afternoon.

At least i hadn't put the turkey in yet.

Yum, Vanilla Coke! Have you tried the new Holiday Pepsi? It's sort of ginger/cinnamony, pretty tasty.

Thanksgiving was pretty good! I spent most of the day battling a broken sink, but my food turned out great. This is my first Thanksgiving away from family though.

er, that pepsi sounds kind of scary. the vanilla coke though is a serious addiction.

this is my first being away from home too, although it isn't really the same since they are coming here (in theory...). It certainly will be my first turkey! I've got it in one of those oven bags, and i am postitive the thing is going to melt and this will be a disaster.

that's why i wanted it over with hours ago.

How did the turkey come out? I love oven bags because they cook faster. As long as the bag doesn't touch the sides or racks in the oven, it's usually fine.
