during a staff meeting today, we had some sensativity t.raining (anybody who knows me ought to be groaning already)

In the course of discussing which students derogatory language affected, one staff member noted that many gay or lesbian high school students have not come out, and to assume that any of the students who say 'that's gay' in a peer setting are not possibly gay themselves is not a good assumption.

"I was on a college hockey team," he finished, "so i KNOW."

My thoughts immediately turned to the NHL Mpreg Archive...

Why am I always surprised at the things I see on LJ? Not shocked, mind you, never that, but the extent of the world's imagination boggles. I really should stop being surprised at the things I come across. I wonder how Teemu Selane feels about having fangirls write him pregnant. LOL!

i imagine that it's very similar to the response the Phelpses had to twincest, and also that it makes him shiver a little bit the next time somebody says "hat trick".

haha, well yes, you're right, but in this case i meant that i was blaming amanuensis, who had linked the Hockey Archive for some reason quite awhile ago, and that's why i know it exists. Real person slash is actually one of the things that I wouldn't hunt up on my own, because honestly that's kind of creepy.
