okay, that is SO NOT AN ENDING. I want more Ritsuke and Soubi RIGHT NOW DAMMIT and I demand that you provide it until things are EXPLAINED TO MY SATISFACTION.

Is that really the end? like, of the manga too, or is it still going? WHY DO YOU TORMENT ME WITH INEXPLICABLY EARED BOYS AND THEN EXPLAIN NOTHING?! WHYYYYY?!

The manga's still going! The latest chapter just came out a few days ago, actually, and it's part of volume... five or six, I think. #1 - #3 have been scanlated. D'you need them?

Er, Seimei's not a very nice person, is he? Cause I have this sinking suspcion that he and the guy in charge of them kind of set this whole thing up as an experiment.

It does! And it's fun reading it from the original source, too, to see what kind of changes were in the anime, or to expand on what you already know (like Ritsuka's mother -- crazy in the anime, batshit in the manga). There's also the Big Spoiler. DO YOU KNOW IT?

Ritsuka's mother is scarier that anything but Fuji. I really liked the way it wasn't just one bandage that Ritsuka wore the whole way through, but the injuries changed all the time. And you know Soubi is demanding (and by demanding i mean asking nicely at increasing intervals) to be allowed to do something, and Ritsuka is all "no, she's my mother". The way the anime kind of glanced over the situation fleetingly made it creepier.

Hmm, i may not know TEH SPOILER. Although I was thinking that I had been told that Ritsuka had lost his ears earlier, and got them back when he lost all his memories? but when that never happened at all in the anime, i thought i'd made it up.

Also, i have now decided that what my icon really needs to be is Soubi looking at some pictures, and the text needs to be "if only i had known all the right words" and if what would be PERFECT would be if there is a point where he's looking at a picture of Seimei, but I don't recall if that ever happened, and may have to settle for something less poignient.

Loveless freaked me out SO GODDAMN MUCH that I deleted the subs instead of burning them and then had to watch tenimyu for an hour to get back to normal.
