I'm concerned about going to class, because I think the only keeping me from having the final breakdown is the fact that the J-Pop is too loud for me to hear myself thinking.

Why did I think it was a good idea not to cancel work at the library after four hours of presentations?

Am reverting to fandom where people love me. NaNo may be a lost cause this year.

Does anybody have a good pattern for long skirts? I'm having a hard time finding ones I like, so I think i may try and make some when my mother is up to help. I have a sewing machine and stuff. I am reasonably proficient.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having end of the semester stress outs. I really liked your mother when I met her this past summer when your family let me crash at their place. Hopefully having her around will make things a little better. In the meantime, keep on keepin' on, and think of Starbucks commercials to make you laugh. Go Ron!

Hi there! How is Austria? I completely referenced the Starbucks commercial in class like two days ago. James and Danielle will be proud.

How is the teaching going for you? being in the high school latin classes is really the only thing about my ed program that I enjoy. They aren't as bright as CTY kids sometimes, but then again they aren't social misfits either. Some of them even go on dates that aren't in bushes!

Hope things are better you way!

I feel your pain...and I kinda want to steal your icon!

I wish I had something more reassuring or constructive to say, but...I just don't. Remember, when in doubt, there's always the full monty (although perhaps refrain from trying that around any minors...we don't want you arrested).

Lol, i think the full monty might go over really well if i am going sometime in the third or fourth hour of presenting.

If you want the icon, go ahead and grab it, I made it myself for anybody to use.

Knitting, man, I tell you. The people in my class yesterday were like "those will be the warmest socks every, because you're making them WITH YOUR RAGE."

What sort of long skirt patterns? I mean, I wear nothing BUT long skirts, so I've got quite a collection of patterns.

It doesn't really matter, they just need to be things that I can wear to the high school to teach. Simpler might be better, cause I've never done a skirt before, but my mother knows what she's doing, we can probably figure anything out.

Skirts with at least a little bit of flare towards the bottom are better, cause I look like a fool in a sheath skirt. Silly hips. I'm about a 16, if that makes any sort of difference.

Heh. I'm a 16-18 m'self. Kinda wavering downward now, although I shudder to think of Thanksgiving.

Righto then. My favorite skirt patterns come from Simplicity. Currently I'm making some winter skirts, and two of them are from 5914 (http://simplicity.com/index.cfm?page=thumbnail.cfm&cat=1&type=1&sec=2&id=5&StartRow=28). D is very nice, flowy all the way down. Very easy-none of them have more than a few pattern pieces.
Over in their New Look section, there's the slightly more complicated 6433 (http://simplicity.com/index.cfm?page=thumbnail.cfm&cat=6&type=28&sec=0&id=92&StartRow=10). Again, for length I like D. I haven't actually made this one yet, but I plan to. 6389 ain't bad either.

On the whole, I am a fairly lazy pattern searcher. When I find something I like, I stick with it, and I like 5914. It's an easy little bugger.
