No work again today~! YATTA. Just keep snowing baby. it's really ridiculous how all the tension leaves my body as soon as I don't have to show up at the job.

I am having DBSK (or whatever the hell their name really is) pimped at me, and I have to admit that they do have the sexy, sexy PVs. on the other hand, I absolutely cannot remember their names.

Not like usual, where I can't tell the guys apart, but I can at least list my options? For some reason, because they're names are Korean, I just cannot get my brain to hang on to them! I had no idea that my mental saturation of foreign names was totally limited to Japanese only.

Watch as I fail:

Arashi: Ohno, Nino, Aiba, Jun, and Sho (roughly ten seconds, I blanked out on Sho).

DBSK: Jae-...something (Draco), Yunho, Chang-...(the one who looks like ryu), Jonsha...or Junsha..., and...that...last guy...the one with manboobs? Or did i already name him. Man, what is my PROBLEM. (at least 30 seconds, to come up with that sort of crap).*

Sigh. Anyway. gmail is still eating my comments.

*The correct answers, if you wanted to know, are Yunho, Changmin, Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu. Maybe typing it a bunch of times will help.

I mean, i guess it has to do with how much Japanese I have listened to at this point (jpop in the car really helped develop my ear for the language), but it's simply crazy how anything from another Asian country is like completely incomprehensible to my brain.

My brother took an East Asian History politics glass last semester, and it sounded really really cool. but I have no doubt I would have exactly the same problem XD

My friend said that too, about listening to Japanese music in the car and how it helps your ability to recognize words. I should try that.

I think a lot of it has to do with all the animes I've watched. I'm taking Japanese history right now, and every once in a while he'll talk about someone and I'll be like "Oh! Thats that guy from [insert historical anime]!". Though I tried to talk to my professor about the Shinsengumi, and he had no idea what I was talking about. I wasn't sure if I should be embarrassed or proud.

It has everything to do with saturation. Even if you don't really understand what's happening, hearing japanese some each day really does help.

Once I get myself together at my job, i really want to audit some classes like that. So cool!

Yay for Japanese!

And you must! Japanese history is the best. Like, at the beginning of the Meiji era all the peasants were really confused about what was going on, so in protest they started having spontaneous, naked mass dancing and yelling something like "Who cares!". Best way to protest EVER.
