Ya-Ya-Yahを続けたい
Sep. 25th, 2007 09:25 pmI've digested a bit more about Hey!Say!Fiasco a bit more, and I finally felt up to watching the actual clip with the song and the dancing and the...the...*swallows*...the 12-year-old.
...but, Yabu was grinning like a moron. I can't hate something that makes Yabu and Hikaru so happy, something that might really do so much for their careers.
I feel...I dunno, confused mostly. I think I could like H!S!BEST, hell, I think i could love them (Inoo/Arioka! I've already written it!), if Ya-Ya-Yah continued as a group as well. The large group is too much, too many, but I would take it, under the same condition.
Oh, K8 fans. I ridiculed you and your dorky Kansai band, but is this what you felt like four years ago? Somehow, it makes things make a lot more sense. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and Uchi.
Speaking of Kansai bands, there's a Kansai version of HeySay too? How weird. That, along with the news that the concert is still called "Johnny's Jrs" made me feel better. Both pieces of news came from the
yayayah post which discussed the reaction of Japanese fans on the boards. The unity of their response with everyone i've talked to also made me feel better (Ya-Ya-yahを続けたい = I want Y3 to go on, the postcard campaign the j-boards are suggesting).
I want real news. Now. I want certainty! I'm so in the wrong fandom...

Date: 2007-09-26 01:53 am (UTC)Probably more like 4Tops when they broke them up to put Yamapi in NEWS and the rest of them in Junior Hell. XD

Date: 2007-09-26 01:59 am (UTC)What I mean is, even if it turns out later that there never was a danger of y3 not continuing activities? It'll be a long time before I forget how I feel right now. So I understand now how attached K8 fans are, and how upset they are over Uchi being missing, instead of how NewS fans are just sort of taking it.

Date: 2007-09-26 02:42 am (UTC)haha, most of all? i'm totally frustrated with my complete misread of Y3's appearances lately, both as individuals and as a group. Sunday night i felt that the only group that had an excellent chance of staying together was Y3...
I mean i know they film them ahead and whatever, but still. grr.

Date: 2007-09-26 12:42 pm (UTC)I've only been in the fandom since the beginning of this year, so I did't experience all of the 4Tops, K8, News on Hiatus and so on first-hand.
One of the reasons why I like K8 as a band as well as individuals is because even though it's obvious that the more recent bands got some extra members to spare - to show them that they are expendable, that the show can go on without them - K8 just didn't accept that.
And, well, SM Entertainment has shown that even 13-member boybands can work, so why don't put together a 10-member band, divided in two; after the usual scheme, one directed at, let's say, 8-13 year-olds, and the second at 13-18 year-olds?
Also I think it depends on the success the current H!S! is going to have to decide whether they will ever have an adult debut, or will rather be a kind of debuted JJ Express with ever-changing members.
So. And now I'll go back to sulking and listening to Shounentai. The only exciting thing that may happen with them is that one of the members suffers from a stroke.

I had to laugh about this, but it's actually a rather comforting thought... yay for older bands who've got all of their youthful histrionics behind them! XD

I bet it's just that my old bones can't bear the excitement any more ... xD(Hey, maybe this whole ordeal is going to cure me from my Shoon obsession! ... Wait. Not likely.)no subject
Date: 2007-09-27 04:40 pm (UTC)And I can totally relate to that. It's just not good for your blood-pressure once you're over a certain age! ...If you have a blood-pressure, that is.
Sometimes I'm thankful that the only Juniors I even come close to being interested in are MA, who seem to have come to terms with the fact that they're never going to debut. It saves one a lot of obsessional worry.

... I guess I'm prey for nearly every junior. ;_; All like OMG he's cute, OMG I kinda understand what he just said I LIKE HIM. xD

Date: 2007-09-27 07:07 pm (UTC)Actually "quiet media" is more or less what I mean. Like, they'll still have all of their fans, but Johnny's won't try to build up fandom hysterics by spreading rumours about them/forcing them to do kinds of fanservice they aren't interested in doing, that kind of stuff. That's one of the reasons I like K8, incidentally: While they do have all those dramatics, you get the feeling that, whatever happens around them, K8 will stay K8, they'd somehow get on with their lives and careers even if they weren't in Johnny's anymore. (My guess is that SubaruBand would just continue as a rock-band and Hina and Yoko would become full-time radio/talk-show hosts while Ryo'd continue on as a singer/actor/all-around-heartthrob on his own, but I'm getting distracted.)
Willpower? I would have guessed that you just let your heart beat along in time to J-pop songs. Far easier than concentrating on it all the time! XD
...Thank God I'm immune to that! I'm a part-time teacher, so I think I would be in real trouble if I weren't able to resist a cute young face... The only overwhelming urge I get when I see Juniors is to feed them, check on their homework and then send them out to play.

Date: 2007-09-27 07:36 pm (UTC)And, I agree. I just tried to imagine the contemporary K8 to be forced to do something like KAT-TUN's smile competition. Didn't work, simple as it is.
Sure thing! But I need to have something to resort to if I cannot listen to music.
Hey. That's an unbeatable argument why I need my mp3 player at work. *_*~
That too! Or, rather, there are some I'd love to have as a younger brother.
And, interesingly, my lower age limit seems to be still at 16 ... like it was six years ago ... *coughs*

Date: 2007-09-26 02:53 pm (UTC)What does Hey!Say!7 mean now? Does it mean the group that existed for three months or whatever, or does it mean the sub-unit of JUMP? Because hi, SAME NAME, but different makeup. Way to be confusing, JE. :P
Because when I listen to HS7 on my iTunes, it is the "old" one I am hearing and wah. CONFUSEDDDDDDD.
