i think the problem was that when i said "Thank goodness the windshield is only $100!" she thought that was an open invitation.
because then we had the electric bill! which, instead of going down despite the fact that I AM FUCKING FREEZING HALF THE TIME, is in fact $130 this month rather than dropping below the $100 i paid them last month.
Just now my website bill came! WHY HELLO, $100 FAIRY. SO GLAD TO SEE YOU AGAIN.
NOW GO AWAY. THE COOKIES ARE NOT FOR YOU.
and the moral of the story is do not get a space heater basically no matter what. It sounds like a totally reasonable solution to "my heater only heats one room of my apartment" and it totally is if you like having higher bills.
