while tooling around on the BBC news site and wishing very much that I had a giant elephant shrew to cuddle, I clicked a link which i thought was going to show me an earlier article about the same animal.

Only to instead discover: the long-eared jerboa, otherwise known as the cutest fucking thing i've ever seen.

I want one! I would name it Chinen!

also, from someone somewhere on my flist: "Watching JE boys is like Hanami - it's over too quickly, but next year there will be more."
