Basic reason for downtime: Nickelodeon does this stupid thing where they're idiots and wait until rush weeks with good series. Doesn't help that, in Avatar's case, the finale is supposed to be like four parts long, the next episode after The Firebending Masters is a two-parter, and there's like... one or two episodes other than that left in between. D:
The DVD comes out the first week of May; therefore, we can assume there will be episodes in the next few weeks. :D I hope. God I hope.
