ETA 2009.01.25: I finally found the for real solution to the scanner problem here. You can't scan directly into Photoshop, you have to tell the Canon Toolbox to open the scanned image in PS, but it's otherwise the way it used to be, and far preferable to the heinously ugly SANE interface.

Okay, six hours later, the scanner problem is FINALLY fixed. Turns out you can use TWAIN-SANE as a bridge between Leopard and a ton of older scanners (as well as a bunch of other things), so now my CanoScan LiDE 20 once again scans into Photoshop. It's not as attractive as it used to be, but it's functional. The part where I had to do some crazy things in terminal to make it see my scanner was a super fun good time.

I'm really hoping this is the last OH NOEZ new computer moment that I have. I'm kind of worn out of them. i'm giving this whole upgrade a gigantic fail, and hopefully we won't have to do this shit again for a long time.

So now that it's all up and runing, have some pictures to stare at happily instead (click for fullsize). All from shady idol shops, first we have the tiniest and most adorable shoon and yabu ever.



What you have to understand about the next two, is that they were bought from DIFFERENT idol shops. First, I bought this

TAMA'S FACE. The fact that he looks totally normal and is looking over like "Eh?! wtf is happening?!" You should really click through to the larger one to see the glory of the ShoonSenga CombiFail, and Tama's response.

Also, Hasshi having a scandal is totally adorable. Especially after JE gave such a ginormous "fuck you" to the publisher of the Ohno drug thing. Yowza.

Lol, yay for shop photos XD. I'm surprised there aren't photos of idols on toilets in the really shady photo shops... or maybe I just haven't gone to shady enough shops yet XD.

i'm really hoping that's one that i do never see, lol.

There was some gossip mag that published pictures of Ohno with girls, which weren't even shocking, but one of the girls, or somebody claimed he had a threesome and pot was involved, idk. but in the end, JE just cut off all dealings with the parent company that owns the magazine. Sucks to be them, because apparently they do the je calendars, and that must be millions of dollars annually.

Wooow, I didn't know there were scandals surrounding Johnny's boys too o.O;. Poor Ohno, like he'd ever be in a pot'y threesome with girls XD. *reeeeeally can't picture it* I think it would be terrifying to mess with Johnny and his boys, and apparently it is o.O;. Poor magazine. Although you would think that the magazine owners would thing "maaaaaybe we shouldn't attack anyone from the company that makes us so much money."

apparently he went on a date with some girl, idk. There were pictures, but none of it was shocking at all, they weren't even holding hands. it was kind of funny though, because hasshi's a touch tall, and the girl is TINY, 155 cm, so Hasshi looked like the jolly green giant.

I had never seen that Yabu-Shoon picture!! <333 Love you for buying it and scanning it. *glomps* Shoon's phone has like half a dozen charms. かわいい！And they were wearing matching t-shirts. ^0^ I'm sure Shoon didn't mind at all, unlike with Reon LOL Oh, and I absolutely fail. XD I found this paparazzi pic long ago... and I always thought the kid with his back to the camera was Reon as they were wearing matching t-shirts. LOL (You know, like some siblings wear matching clothes when they're kids) I still want to see a pic of chibi Shoon with chibi Reon though.

well, to be fair, they all look alike when they are tiny and not facing you. I wasn't sure until I asked a couple people what they thought that it was Shoon, but the long sideburns are a bit of a giveaway. It's funny that you have basically the same shot from the other side!

Shoon's cell charms are totally hilarious. god, they are so LITTLE. And I want baby pictures of Shoon and Reon like crazy.

I mailed your stuff last Friday morning, so I'm not sure how long it will take to get to you, but you'll probably see it soon. Maybe it'll arrive on your birthday~!
