Someday Okamoto Will Be Your Favorite Too

after noticing in the Summary goods that Ryutarou is still growing like crazy, jackoweskla and I somehow got to talking about that not-exactly-growth-spurt that most of the boys have at about 20 or so, where they don't get any bigger, they just get HOT LIKE BURNING all the sudden for no reason. Like Yamapi did, and Ueda, and Tackey. Koyama did it to a lesser extent, but then Tegoshi is just unfair. One day you're like "awww" and the next day it's "OH GOD WHAT."

So I'm eyeing Shoon nervously, because his is due pretty soon, and then I look at Yabu, and Hikaru, and further down Senga and Nikaido, and Okamoto, and Reon and Hasshi and Nozawa, and then I get down to how much Ryutarou's grown up in the last three months alone.

We are totally boned, my friends.

My personal bet is that I'm sure Yabu and Senga and Inoo and those guys will be hot in the same vein as they are now, but I think Hikaru might have something crazy (and awesome) happen, and that in the end Ryutarou turns out to be the one who is HOT BEYOND ALL REASON WHAT.

I think, given his drama success, Chinen'll be more like the next Yamapi, where's hot, but he's also just really talented and very charismatic. As opposed to Tegoshi, not that he's not talented, but it's more of a single-focus talent, and then there's the unreasonable hotness.

I bet yuto'll turn out really pretty once his face settles during that 20 thing, but I think he's going to go right on being awkward until the very last second. So he's got a looong way to go.

aww, i like junno! Yuto could do worse. Junno's looking pretty good these days too, i have to say.

Yamada's vibe of pure sex yo doesn't feel the same as Yamapi's to me at all, nor does he seem to get that 'leader of the jrs' feel. Yamada comes over more like...like Jin to me? He seems more in it for himself, not that he doesn't like his group, just that he's not very leaderish either.

LOL WHAT ABOUT KEITO? His father is average looking, though. He showed up in the Tokyo Dome DVD 8D It's so cute when Keito sits down next to okamoto-papa, all shy while everyone else crowds around them.

Keito not only is going to be hot, he's doing it right now. He and Yamada are the only two in 7 I would call hot rather than cute. I think he was so shy at first that nobody noticed, but now that he's a bit more comfortable, it's coming out more.

AWWWWWWW. I love when people get all shy about their relatives. That's why the Shoon/Reon jr ni qs are my favorites.

i think it has a lot to do with the fact that he hasn't been in Johnny's for a billion years and wasn't a junior during his more impressionable years.

Same with Kitayama. I think he might enjoy girls as well, whereas people like Yamapi and Tackey and Yabu gave up a long time ago.

Yamada kickass in popularity right now (in HSJ), but most of his fans are 10 yr old girls :\ But yeah, in a couple of years I totally can see him as the next Yamapi or something...

i'm totally excited for Keito, because anytime they pull somebody random for a group like this (ohno, tego), it always turns out AMAZING in the end. Plus, he protects Ryutarou from bullies and embarrasses Yuto on stage, so he's got my love.

Chinen is totally scary. I always think of him like Yamapi though, since he's shown a bunch of different talents (drama, dancing, singing) instead of Tegoshi being just a singer (an AWESOME singer, but that's his claim to fame).

And like I said above, Yamada reads more like Jin to me, where he's so popular, but it's based on individual hotness rather than leadership or talent. I mean these days Yamapi is pretty sexy, but Jr Pi never read that way to me. Yamada totally does, and he's completely selling it on purpose.

Shoon! I love him so much. But the poor guy is almost 20!~ It's probably okay to let him look like a grownup finally.

I get the feeling that Hikaru is going to have a crazy-big change. He's looked pretty much the same since...forever, yes?
I know you probably didn't actually mean 'pretty' when you said Yuto, but I really think he will be pretty. He seems so lithe and graceful. Something about him is very Tamamori to me...which leaves me to wonder what he's going to look like when he's a bit older. *crosses fingers and wishes for GORGEOUS*

I can't comprehend Chinen getting older. Tbh, I hope he stays sort of small and ballet dancer-ish..

I feel that way too. Even though he's gotten so tall and well-built from dance, i really get the sense that adult hikaru is going to be a big and sudden change.

I think Yuto can totally be pretty, once his face catches up, yes. He's got the build for it. I'm hoping for that quiet sort of pretty, like Koyama manages sometimes, so it'll suit his personality.

oh, I think Yuto will be pretty, but more of a quiet pretty rather than the throw-you-on-the-floor sex that Tego ended up with. At least I hope so, because if senpai start doing the things to Yuto that I have absolutely no doubt they do to Tego, Yuto will probably kill himself or at the very least spend a lot of times sobbing, half-clothed.

Senga's already really good-looking yes, and I'm very much looking forward to what happens to him in the end. Nika too, for that matter. With Yamada it's not so much that he's good-looking, although he is, its that he totally knows how to sell himself, and that's only going to improve. So yeah, he'll be a winner.

Huh? I. Uhm. A little less than a year ago Hikaru had that sudden change which made me think of quite him as hot rather than cute. :> Yabu's was about half a year earlier, although he still kind of looks like somebody takes all his edges and angles and pulls at them every night.
And Shoon ... could he get any sexier? :o
Others, like, Koichi. Koichi looked totally weird to me until his mid-twenties. -shrugs- Or maybe we just look at very different things. :D

I mean, yeah, he had a big growth spurt, you're right. But he doesn't look like an adult yet, if you see what i mean, not like Yabu does now. I think he's got one more big change in him.

But also what I think makes Yabu look so much more adult is the role that he plays in HSJ, of being the older brother and the responsible adult of the group, along with Takaki. It's his attitude that shifted, from being Y3's younger brother/spoiled brat, and it shows in his face.

Shoon is so pretty oh god, but i think the answer is yes, just a bit, just that last little tweak that makes everybody crazy awesome. And as pretty as shoon is, i'm really looking forward to Reon growing up, because he's so pretty right now at 16, and he doesn't have any of shoon's awkwardness.

Not only the growth spurt - I think he didn't grow much in the few weeks when that occured, but rather it was the way he carries himself. Ah, but I agree, he's probably going to change quite some still. I expect Yabu to change too, though. :)

I have to admit, I don't watch much of the HSJ shows (more, like, I watched one or two eps) so I can't even say how much he changed in front of a camera, but at the end of Ya3 he already behaved pretty grown-up and everything.
Shoon, on the other hand, seemed very consistent to me from the time when he was about 15.

Agreed, and they started dressing him more adult, or letting him dress, i'm not sure which, which really makes a big difference. His choreography changed too. And really, I think after working with Yamapi during Kitty GYM, he actually picked up a lot of Yamapi's style, you can see a change right after that, but it hasn't been until recently that they let him changeover completely.

Lol. well, Takaki is definitely the mommy, who fusses over everybody, but Yabu is the one who is like "GET IN THE CAR RIGHT NOW." Seeing Yabu being so adult always gives me such a shock, because in my heart he is always the bowlcut kid he is in that random picture I posted. I love him to death, but it always takes me a second to adjust.

Shoon's looked more or less the same for a long time, yes. Poor guy gets treated like a kouhai even by his own little brother, lol.

Actually, I don't know most of them well enough to have theories. I can say that I think Hikaru will be quite handsome once he grows into his face, but it may take awhile. Also Yabu is going to be devastating and so is Shoon. I suspect Chinen may pull a Ryo, seeing how slowly he's growing right now, he'll shoot up at the last minute...hopefully he doesn't get stuck in some awkward middle phase.

...I have nothing to say about anyone else...unless you want to talk about the two in BAD. They are going to be HOT.

Agreed on all counts. I think a lot of the younger HSJ kids are going to be pretty serious business in the end, but it's a tossup whose voices will survive puberty.

You think so? I like them a lot, but I can't say they are particularly photogenic with their lazy eye and their...whatever is going on with Junta's face. But they do love each other, so I can forgive quite a bit.

I agree with you on Ryutarou. Because part of it IS just experience and the way they present and carry themselves. He'll have seven years of debuted experience when he's 20, and I think that is going to be pretty damn amazing.

I also agree with the quiet-pretty Yuto.

oh MAN, it isn't going to take until he's 20. I just watched the clip of yamada, yuto, and ryutarou doing Take Me Higher on Show wa Hey Say, and it's INSANE. The quality is poor, so at first i was like that CANT be Ryutarou, but IT IS.

sorry for butting in but, lol...
all my money goes to chinen...by far. he's already trouble now with his excellent dance skills and talented voice. I've been thinking about it for ages and each time I see chinen I find myself saying ( rather loudly lol) " when he grows up he will soooo be a sex god!"

yamada is also danger, and I can't stop thinking about ino and daiki...they will probably end their growth just FINE..
