More Shokura Intro I-ching

New unit names this week! Well, sort of. They named a couple of the big junior clots, but left everybody who is popular free?

That seems interesting, not only because it says to me that they're trying to keep people free to be reorganized with whoever doesn't debut in the next year or so, but also because it's interesting to see who JE thinks is popular, or maybe who is talented but we haven't seen much of yet.

the introductions, capped in the order they appear:

A.B.C.-Z	MADE no idea who's involved here, but this seems to be that backdancer unit that's been floating around.
Sanada	Nozawa
Jr Boys again, no idea. this might be the Ookawa unit.	Takada Sho, Nakajima and Kikuchi I couldn't catch that last name. these three being loose puzzles me, aside from Sho who's been popular on Hyakuthingy with Shoon and Taipi and Okamoto. They're B.I.Shadow, from the drama with the HSJ boys.
Uekusa and Taiga BUT WHERE IS ANDERSON *sadface*	Kis-My-Ft2
Morimoto Shintarou the tiny morimoto's face in caps is always hilarious	HipHopJump I was unprepared for the cute of this unit name. Can't see who's involved, but that's the costume Tanaka Jyuuri was wearing last week. I hope Casey's in there.
Yamashita Shoon! i was having "OH NOEZ WHERE IS SHOON?" panic right up until the last second here, lol.

Maybe this is a silly way to occupy my time, since in the end i'm always blindsided by whatever really does happen, but, i'm sure i'm not the only one. The ender, Days, was odd too. It was ebikisu (but no hasshi) and then Shoon on one side and Nozawa/Sanada on the other side. Everybody was in white except Nozawa/Sanada.

and Senga had a ton of solo stuff during Inori! I have to dig up my older version to be sure, but i really don't think he used to sing that much of it.

I know they've announced some debuted guys that are going to be on the Christmas special (Junno, half of K8, all of NEWS, so... who knows what's going on).

I'm guessing Jr. BOYS is going to fill the same purpose as J.J. Express -- a place to keep the younger/newer guys until they get put into a smaller, more select unit. And HipHop Jump... Shintarou, Casey Anderson, Camu Cade, and Jyuuri? Mmmm... I'll try to catch it when I watch the ep this weekend.

Seems that way, about Jr. BOYS. MADE seems that way too, except MADE is more dance and Jr. BOYS is more vocal-focused.

Shintarou isn't actually part of the unit, he got announced separately, but looks like he might hang around with them, but that could have been a fluke of just this intro. There were four guys back behind Shintarou, i think, so Camu, Casey, and Jyuuri sound like good guesses. I'm excited to see new grouped photoshoots this winter and spring!

Yeah... no Hasshi. but I think what some people mentioned was that the amount of hours underaged people are allowed to work changes once they turn 16. Hasshi's still 15 right? And Nozawa and Sanada are 16 this year. If the taping went over time, Hasshi wouldn't've been allowed back on stage for Days.

I was wonderin when they were gonna name the random groups of jrs...

Aha, I forgot about the age thing, but of course you're right. I didn't realize Nozawa was 16 already, but i did know that Hasshi was the youngest one. that explains the lack of teensy jrs too.

I was surprised it was all of the sudden, but yay new unit names! Now if only they would sort out the popular dudes too...but I feel like that isn't going to happen until we have another debut, and i don't think THAT'S going to happen until we get a full album from HSJ.

Yeah... now that I think about it more, they must have been going over time cause they cut the Nekketsu Jr. League Isutori game short... Although it was by far my favorite part of this last Shokura. haha... Tsuka and Gocchi... *happy sigh*

It's so hard not to think about what the new group names mean! I'm so worried about ebikisu... T-T

HipHopJUMP - Morita Myuto, Tanaka Juri, Hagiya Keigo, Camu Cade, Jesse Lewis. Anderson and Kawashima Noeru weren't introduced but they were on stage wearing the same outfits as Taiga and Uekusa.

Apparently, there'll be lots of Nakayama Yuma during X'mas special. He gets to sing with all the units you mentioned above.

I'm glad to hear that about Casey, although who knows if it means anything, because i've always like the shintarou/taiga/casey/uekusa grouping and i was hoping it'd stay like that. Kawashima can fit in there too :)

Nakayama gets a bunch of attention that I don't really understand, lol. He's cute enough! I just don't see what all the fuss is about, really.

Taiga-Shintaro-Casey-Yuta.. another four person group? I'd rather not if it's going to end up being a heartbreak again. Include Noeru and Myuto maybe? For now, it looks like JE is experimenting with Taiga-Yuta as a duo.

No, it's okay :) I'm just glad somebody can help name the littler ones, because I have a really hard time learning them until they're actually in a unit, so looking at a unit and trying to guess who just got in is impossible for me, lol.

I've been thinking that Shintarou-Casey-Taiga would be a group, and then in the last couple months Uekusa's been with them almost constantly, so yes. And it does look like Noeru will too. But now I think they might be hesitating since Taiga's height shot up so suddenly, and some of the others are starting to as well, since Shintarou's plainly going to be tiny for ages and it'll be a staging nightmare. Maybe they learned their lesson after Taiyou, lol.

They do need more duos, although i prefer TOP3, I really have been enjoying the Sanada/Nozawa duo as well.

I'm pretty sure the other one in B.I Shadow is Takahata Misaki but I could be wrong.

And as far as I know Ookawa isn't in Jr Boys. As far as I know from left to right in that screen cap its: Abe Ryuhei, Sakuma Daisuke, Iwamoto Hikaru, Miyadate Ryota, Watanabe Shota and Onodera Ikki. Usually Fukasawa Tatsuya appears with them too but he wasn't there for the Dec shokuras.

Oh! Yeah, wasn't one of them Takahata? I didn't learn them, Rachel did, so I just wrote down whatever she said because she's been watching the drama, but Kikuchi did sound like what the announcer had said. IDK. JE WHY SO CONFUSING.

I didn't see Ookawa anywhere, and I've been pretty good about spotting him, so maybe he's another one who's a little too popular to get lumped into a group just yet. Usually he has a lot of vocal lines. Thanks for the other guys' names though, I'm still trying to learn all of them!

Fukka's one of the guys who used to be in JJ Express, right? Along with what's-his-name who just switched companies?

I'm pretty sure BI Shadow is [L to R] Nakajima Kento or was it Kenta?, Takahata Misaki, Kikuchi Fuma :)

I think Ookawa was dancing behind Uekasa and Kyomoto, along with Masuda Ryo and some others that I can't decipher from the cap at work, can't see T__T Takada Sho, Nakada Hiroki also usually appear in this group with Ookawa, but I dunno if they are in that cap or not.

Fukka was in JJ Express as was Asaka Kodai - who changed companies, yep XD

Jr Boys - they were 8 but Funabiki left earlier in the year, shortly after Kamei disappeared I think. They've been 7 for quite a while. I think it was the October shokuras that Iwamoto was absent and Morita Myuto [is in the cap for HipHopJUMP] performed alongside JrBoys and then again with the shintaro/anderson/uekasa/kyomoto group.

I don't know much about MADE except to recognise their faces. I can identify Takahashi Ryu from his hair as well as Fukushi Nobuki or is it Nobiki? cause his hair is distinctive too. Also I recognise Yamashita Takumi cause he was once a member of JJExpress, back when Tamamori was also a member and Yuto was still tiny.

Random huge Jr.BOYS/MADE fan who knows too much about them for her own good is going to stop being stalker for a second and comment on MADE and Jr.BOYS' members. >>

MADE has actually been 6 members since they were announced a few months back, but for this episode, they seem to have added in that Fukushi kid (who used to be paired up with um, Masato or whatever, that junior who they pimped as a ~*~GREAT SINGER~*~ and who has now disappeared since I bet nobody really cares about him. XD) The members are, left to right in that screencap, Inaba Hikaru, Imai Ryuusei, Akiyama Taiga, Yamashita Takumi, Takahashi Ryu, Tomioka Kento and Fukushi Nobiki. (I may have mixed up Inaba and Imai, I totally can't tell them apart when they're too busy moving and not letting me get a good look at them XD)

Jr.BOYS isn't the Ookawa unit, actually. Sanada and Nozawa were both in this unit, but Sanazawa obviously got promoted after JUMP's debut when they got to be with Hasshi and Kamei (when he was still there). Jr.Boys has been mostly with the same since then, except with the addition of Fukasawa Tatsuya (the kid in my icon akjdgfh ♥) who used to be in J.J.Express. There are 7 members, but Fukasawa is missing in the December Shokura episodes for whatever reason, so there are only the other 6 there. Again, in the screencap from left to right, it's Abe Ryohei, Sakuma Daisuke, Iwamoto Hikaru, Miyadate Ryouta, Watanabe Shota and Onodera Ikki. (lrigelbbub already pointed that out >>) Jr.Boys has existed for a looooo~ng time and usually has members shuffling in and out [Kitayama, Fujigaya, Massu, Tegoshi, Miyata, Kamei and Takaki all 'graduated' from this group], but these kids have had the same formation for a while now. And btw, I know I'm going on and on too much, but J.J.Express was a lot different than Jr.Boys, since most of the members were pretty popular and they got a lot of chances to sing, even if they also did a lot of backdancing. Their member formation changed a lot in the beginning, but after Yuto & Ryutaro were shuffled out, the group formation stayed pretty much the same until a little bit before original!HS7's formation, when Fukasawa and Asaka stopped appearing with the rest of J.J., and then Asaka disappeared and Fukka got moved to Jr.Boys. So it wasn't really a 'holding' group for juniors that JE might or might not want to pimp. X3 (That one Morita Myuuto kid has been popping up lately to backdance with them sometimes, but then he was with chibi-tachi, so I'm guessing JE wants to pimp him but has no idea how to go about it. >>)

Both MADE and Jr.BOYS are dance-focused, but Jr.Boys has gotten a few chances to sing in medleys, but only occassionally. They've gotten to sing a few times (Namida-kun Sayonara, A.RA.SHI) on their own and another couple of times with bigger juniors being the 'lead' (Feel It with Nozawa as lead, Way of Life with Shoon as lead). MADE hasn't gotten that chance - the closest thing is the recent C=Normal perf where one of the MADE members (Takahashi Ryu) got to sing with Yamamoto. Imo, Jr.Boys gets the 'bigger' backdancing jobs since their faces are more well-known and I guess they have more fans... you'll see them doing a lot of backdancing when it comes to their senpai junior groups and the senpai guests. MADE backdances for random songs/people, no real pattern, and sometimes they backdance with Jr.Boys when showing off the number of backdancers in the juniors is required. XD

The only new unit name in this ep is HipHopJUMP, the two backdancing groups are just almost never introduced, so normal junior fans who don't know them that well usually get surprised and go "who were they again?" XDD ....I also sound really, really know-it-all-ish and snobby, please don't hate me. I swear I'm a really nice person, b-but. I never get chances to go on and on about Jr.Boys and MADE since they're kfgjhkgfh so, so, so underappreciated in juniors fandom, so I think I used this post as an outlet. >>;;;

No, it's okay, even though i've been watching Shokura regularly for more than a year, these guys are all basically unlearned for me, so I can't tell at all when their membership changes and usually only identify them by what they're wearing or what they're doing.

I did remember MADE getting announced during the summer, but then, right, Sanada and Nozawa got pulled right away and things were all jumbled so I was never sure if it was just a summer thing or what. Jr.BOYS I knew I had heard of before, but I thought it was an old unit that had like fallen out of use and they were recycling the name, I didn't realize they'd been active but unnamed routinely.

so is the Ookawa group something else entirely? he's the only one of that group that I can pick out and i didn't notice him around this episode, so I couldn't tell. His group seems to be the more vocal one, generally.

They are really awesome and everything, but as backdancers, they are obviously not given their share of attention by JE. ):

MADE was really stupid. First it was Hasshi, Sanazawa and all of Jr.Boys. But it was really short-lived, because Hasshi and Sanazawa moved onto better things and Jr.Boys got renamed back to Jr.Boys and then they chose the more active (on Shokura) backdancers from M.A.D to make them into MADE. >>; I'm not sure about MADE since I don't really care that much about them except randomly, but Jr.Boys at least gets their own photoshoots in Duet, Potato and WU. They're not named as Jr.Boys, though, just as "Fukasawa Tatsuya x Watanabe Shota x [on and on with all the others]", which really sucks. XD The last couple of months have been a little weird, because they went missing from the 2008-12 WU issue, but were in Duet and Potato, and then in the January issues, they went missing from Potato and were back in WU. XD

I haven't been paying attention to Ookawa ever since the poor kid got kicked away so that they could pimp, well, other people who weren't him. Seriously, when he was 'leader' of fresh jr group, I got sick from how much we were seeing his face, and now we barely see it. XD I checked, though, and if his group is the one he appeared in the 7th's episode when they sang Mayonaka no Shadow Boy, then I think they're the left-overs from the fresh jr group that didn't go to B.I.Shadow. Too lazy to take a screencap, but when they first come out in Mayonaka no Shadow Boy wearing blue, sleeveless long shirts, from left to right, they're Masuda Ryo, Takada Sho, Ookawa and Nakada Hiroki. I don't see them backdance too often, but then again, I don't pay much attention until it's juniors I like. XDDD

Lol, but honestly, their pimping job is so messy with him. He wasn't in any group, then they brought him out for Jr.Boys, then they stuck him with chibi-tachi, then now he's with HipHopJUMP, so. I don't know. XD
