I Need an Ito En and a Potato
Jan. 31st, 2009 08:12 pmI'm in the train station in Philly, waiting for my train, and I have to say, that recently, everywhere I go, there's random wi-fi lately. it's GENIUS. I mean, really, aside from me being totally addicted, it's a huge weight off my mind. What if I get lost, or my phone dies, or I get stranded someplace? I could totally just email somebody, or really get directions myself.
It's getting to the point where I can actually make it to places on my own. Many of you won't understand how monumental that is, but
marksykins and
musesfool will back me up on it.
In the same vein, getting from my friend's apartment to the subway to the train was totally no big deal. I was like a pro. again, AMAZING. I credit my success to all my train-train-subway-train-SHINKANSEN training in Japan. This is the same thing! only dirty. But I did miss
swtjemz,
shinigamitabris,
snowqueenofhoth,
shabzilla, and
shimmeredusk. It wasn't the same without anybody to flail with.
and nobody's phone went off on the train with an arashi ringtone either.
So I'll be back in the burg in a couple hours. I spent the last two days watching Supernatural and uploading stories to the website (back to March 2006. GANBARIMASU.) and we also saw the Mutter Museum. Things in jars!
ETA: randomly, the calendar in my journal's sidebar for January looks like an elephant.

Date: 2009-02-01 08:46 pm (UTC)it's the medical museum in Philly with all the crazy specimens in jars. It's really cool! If you don't mind the smell of formaldehyde (uh, sp fail) and seeing body parts in jars.
