I want to like Glee so much, but I just think that I can't. It's honestly painful for me to watch because all the junk about their school that's supposed to be campily exaggerated for comedic purpose, isn't actually exaggerated at all. It's not the first time this has happened. I have trouble watching Simpson's episodes that are too heavily about Ms. Krabaple these days too.

in case you couldn't tell from my last abysmal post, i'm really through with my job and everybody at it and possibly public education in general. I am way too smart for this stupid job and there has to be some other way I can get people to hand me money.

there's money in romance novels, right? If i write a male/male romance novel for NaNo next month, you guys'll buy it, right?

I knew my time in public education was up when I started counting the days to the end of the school year in October. *nodding*

My current employment situation isn't much better, but at least I don't have 25 adolescents waiting for a moment of weakness. And now I'm the one who can pout and snarl.

It isn't like I don't think that most people dislike their job or whatever. It's just, ugh, stupid job.

I pine ceaselessly for the days when I got to show up to a class and just sit there and take it instead of having to plan all the junk.

sorry you feel so bad about your work, good teachers are hard to come by.

that's mostly because good teachers are smart enough to realize that nobody in their right mind would put up with this bullshit for any length of time, much less 35 years.

Romance novels aren't really my thing, but if I were to find something written by you in my slush pile (if I had one of my own), it would make my life.

I-if you're writing for NaNo, it would totally rock. I'm just saying.
That being said, I would say retail is as bad as public education, because you don't only have 25 adolescents waiting to pounce on you, but an entire town... particularly if you work in the liquor industry, SADFACE

I have no comment about work. I'm the anomaly that has worked for the same organization since I was 16 and still love it (nearly) every day.

Two thirds of my life dedicated to provided the opportunity for education, entertainment and a pathway to the World. And now I shop for a living, not so bad really.
I try to encourage my daughter to find something she really loves and then she never has to work a day in her life. It is how I've survived in a constantly changing workplace. Maybe that's the trick though: finding something that is constantly changing while holding true to core values.

Enough ranting. Ganbatte.
