at dinner:

2B: I'm pushing it to the envelope!
me: you mean 'pushing the envelope' not pushing it TO the envelope.
2B: I push it to the envelope!
SiL: what does that even...
2B: WE ARE MAILING THAT SHIT OVERSEAS!

I don't seem to have much to say lately. one more day of training tomorrow before I am off for the rest of the week. Tomorrow is the day for department work that I'm in charge of, and even though really I have to do nothing (really nothing since i'm the only Latin teacher signed up, thanks fuckers), I still have not really recovered from that meeting in the middle of the year where they all told me they hated me.

being in charge = fail. also our district union members voted to go to a 24 pay yearly system instead of the 26 pay system we have now, the details of which I don't want to get into, but I don't understand why people are just so short-sighted and annoying this week. or always. I overheard more than one person in the mailroom go "i'm voting for 24. that's what we have right now, right?" NO. how can you not know how many times YOU GET PAID. aaaaaaaaaaargh. long story short, no more three pay months OR predictable dress down payday Fridays, and I am pissed.

anyway, lacking cheap, complete itunes Dr Who seasons, I ended up getting the season pass for Upstairs, Downstairs and then also The Bleak House. Apparently I associate the gym with BBC? hm. Anyway, I enjoyed the first episode of UD, or at least the first 45 minutes of it because I can't stay on the elliptical for much longer than that. Something about it makes me feel kind of classy even though it has no relation to my life whatsoever. Fancy ladies! Cocktails and canapes! Also nobody is heinously unsympathetic so far, when I was initially worried about both the wife and the mother-in-law. I tittered to myself repeatedly on the elliptical, which is probably why nobody was on either side of me by the time I gave up. also the sweating.

i am hungry and i want cheese.

Wow, the people you work with...

Are you sure they have degrees because they are lacking braincells.

yeah, idk, people have really been working my last nerve lately, but then again it's the end of the school year so everybody's at their nadir point.
