If anybody's interested, Pinecone Research sent out another email asking for more survey takers. It's $3 a survey (they're not terribly frequent), and you get to try cool stuff sometimes.

I think you're supposed to live in the US, but all the stuff is online and you can set it up to pay you via paypal, so honestly I suppose you could just tell it a US address or something.

Do you know of households that would like to join the PineCone Research Panel? If so, please FORWARD A COPY of this email to each household you would like to refer so that they may click on the registration link shown below. That household should complete the registration form themselves and submit it. REMEMBER THAT ONLY ONE PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD MAY REGISTER. Multiple registrations of the same Household will void all registrations.

Here is the link to the registration:

As a member in good standing, you've already seen the benefits of being part of PineCone Research. So please, share the benefits of membership with a friend. Don't forget, please don't tell them about any of the products that you have seen in our questionnaires or tried in your home. Remember, it's important that your PineCone Research survey and product testing experiences remain confidential.

If your referral has any questions, they can email us at scott@pineconeresearch.com or click on the attached links to learn more about PineCone Research.

so if you're interested go for it, I know a couple people have gotten accepted the last couple times this happened. I've been doing surveys with them for ages now, so I've probably made a couple hundred dollars off them. Plus they don't tell you when they're going to send something for you to try out so sometimes it's SURPRISE giant package at your door! which is always exciting.

They took me off of their list because they found out I live in Hawaii. No more checks for me. :( I didn't change my address, so I can only guess they verify with IP address.

...not so exciting when you've told them some address in the US and you don't actually LIVE THERE.

its true, but if you knew that was the case, i suspect you would chack 'no' when it asked if it could send you the thing in the survey.

I got accepted the last time I applied, btw! I've never gotten to try any products, and I wish they'd give me more surveys to take, but beggars can't be choosers.
