mom: what was the first thing you did at Magic Kingdom?
me: fall on my face right in the middle of Main Street.

Trufax. My knee and palms looks pretty spectacular, but at least they match my toe, which is solid purple from dropping the heavy square in the middle of my laptop cord right on top of it.

Yesterday we did Epcot, and we ate all the countries. all of them. we ate them. Japan had curry udon! And then the little stand outside the restaurant had coffee milk and i nearly cried. My coffee milk withdrawal, let me show you it.

3 (out of 6) of us went to Magic Kingdom today and as I hadn't been there since high school, I had a really good time. I liked Space Mountain and the Hall of Presidents best, because I am a loser. Also we could not figure out why the longest line by a million years in the park was the Peter Pan ride. lol, what. Heat index of 103, Splash Mountain wait 30 minutes, Peter Pan 70 minutes! Dear Florida, you are crazy.

Apparently the other three people stayed in the hotel room and drank all day? Idek. I understand they were at the pool for awhile and then perhaps climbed in the fountain. Again, see above about me being a loser, but I just don't see the appeal of the whole drinking thing and it makes me kind of uncomfortable when I'm out with other teachers who go at it so hardcore like that. Anyway they're all down at the pool, but ugh, no more walking so i am staying in the hotel room.

I understand the coffee milk addiction thing--there have been times I would have killed for a Kirin Milk Tea. Milk Tea is so damn hard to find. And, yes, when I go to Epcot, my joy is to eat my way through the countries. :D

Part of why I have a hard time socializing with peers is that I don't like to drink. It's just odd to me, the idea that consuming headachey beverages that take away your coordination on top of that is pleasurable.

OMG we play Disney Princess bingo here too. Of course, I have a couple of preschoolers.

I'd love to go to Disney someday if they had a day that wasn't crowded/loud/scary at all, for autistic people. Although, come to think of it, that might be just as noisy. We couldn't even get through the county fair without a meltdown.

yeah, disney's pretty much of an overload even if there weren't a ton of people, so idk if that'd work at all. Although since it was hotter than the surface of the sun, it honestly was not as crowded as i expected at all, especially since we kept going as early as possible. And if you stay on the actual disney resort there are 'magic hours' that are only open to those people. So idk, if you went super off-season you could give it a shot. and you can go in and out all you want so you could go super early, leave for breaks or lunch or whatever, and then come back late.

it also depends really heavily on what part of the parks you are in when. at Islands of Adventure, everybody RUNS to the harry potter park first thing, so the first couple hours the front of the park is nearly deserted.

I love that curry udon there. I totally didn't expect it to be that delicious at somewhere like Disney.
