well, more like $90 since i had YesAsia coupons both times. Sigh, i know it's silly, but I'm still down about not going up to NYC for Jin and Kisumai tour stuff being way too early for me to see them this summer...anyway, in the car I put WNGU back in for no reason and I just thought, Zero is the thing that I'm going to want in the car most of all. even if I love the album like crazy, it'll be the old songs that I want there. fuck it, it isn't like i smoke or drink or have any other expensive habit.

unless, you know, you count yarn. But that isn't expensive!

I just redid my nails with one of the mylar-flecked Zoya colors, and I really like it. I can't wait to see what it looks like in natural light tomorrow. I have the blue-flecked (Maisie) but I want to get the pink one too.

I went to the lorax tonight too, and I definitely enjoyed it. The fat bear was 100% my favorite. And oh man, talk about gorgeous cg; i wanted to touch those truffela trees SO MUCH. All of this, however, was preceded by an absolutely hysterical ad for Despicable Me 2 made entirely of minions. MINIONS. Minions + birthday blower = comedy gold.

and evidently SHINee's album is called 'Sherlock' and may or may not be a Coat West soundtrack. APPROVED. Sometimes I want Taemin and Fujigaya to have a hair-off. Also Taemin doesn't seem to understand he's supposed to be feeding ME those grapes! Not the brightest crayon in the box, that one, but we keep him around for obvious reasons.

I was thinking about calling you about the Jin concert, but the ticket prices were more than I really wanted to spend. (Twice as much as tix for L'Arc!) I'll wait for JYJ - they're going to release another English album, possibly as early as the fall, and follow it with a tour. (All the saesang wank has left me rolling my eyes at all the social justice warriors who have no idea what it's liked to be stalked like that 24/7 for years on end. I'd give them a week in the boys' shoes, but they likely wouldn't last 3 days.) Also looking forward to Yoochun's new drama (and Jae's! Ninja Warrior Jaejoong is gonna be awesome!) and hoping it won't be hard to find it subbed. Stupid MU clusterfuck, getting in the way of me and my obsessions. :-P

Oh man, Taemin! SOOOOOOOOOOOO skinny! Gah! He definitely looks better in clothes! Poor thing! Love the hair, though! Yay weave! SM and their concepts this past year - even HoMin's last year was totally WTF! I still have no words for SuJu's last summer. Excited for the SHINee comeback though! I still ♥ them, and they were really fantastic at SM Town!

I still don't do my own nails. I've been getting the gels because they last for weeks. :-P But you should post the pics because that polish sounds cool!

yeah, it was expensive, plus the cost of getting there and staying there and the inevitable money I will spend when there. I did mention to musesfool though, I told my mother I wanted to spend a weekend in NYC as my birthday present. Not sure when yet, but like mid to late april at some point I would imagine, so I was thinking maybe we could at least get get together for brunch/lunch one of the days I'm up. I was thinking about taking my mom back to that soup dumpling place we tried that one time, if you were into that. Or else maybe that place you, vic, and I were at down near her office? With the awesome sangria.

Pippa's blanket's yarn is by Caron, and it's called Simply Soft, appropriately. It's kind of heavy and slick, as you can feel, so it's actually kind of annoying to work with for most projects I've tried it on, but for the double-stranded blanket it was really perfect. I'm glad it turned out so well!

Oooh okay! I have some black wool that sounds similar - it's so soft, but so smooth that it just falls around. I haven't tried double-stranding it though... I may need to get a larger hook for that XD

yeah, my pattern calls for an N but no idea what that is in European/UK. my pattern is like chain 100, pattern stitch is single crochet two stitches together (like, pull up one loop in 1st st, pull up one loop in 2nd st, pull yarn through all 3 loops) and then chain 1, and that's it. last stitch in a row single crochet, chain 1. I made myself one too and I love it. 100 st seems narrow for a blanket, Pippa's is more like 120 or 130 iirc.
