Two questions, unrelated:

1. Why are Castor and Pollux so freaking bright all the sudden? Are we on a collision course with their galaxy or something? The time of alien probing isn't drawing nigh, is it?

2. tea drinkers: so now that i'm drinking 16-32oz of looseleaf (mostly green) tea a day, my pee smells funny. Should I be concerned? Does that just happen? Just curious if I have defective kidneys or what the situation is.

1) I think it's Venus and Jupiter that are super bright right now. I know that Venus is supposed to eclipse the sun this summer, so it's probably related to that?

2) Totally normal, as long as it's smelling... plant-like.

Agreed. Jupiter and Venus were gorgeous through the telescope last week, before this shitty snow-alternating-with-monsoon started out here. The moon was awesome too.
