*TEARS HAIR OUT*
Jul. 3rd, 2004 12:25 amCan somebody PLEASE tell my why my layout CSS does not work? All i want is a black background, and the image to be fixed and not repeat.
I DO NOT WANT LIME GREEN. I AM NOT ASKING FOR LIME GREEN.
right now it says this:
body {
background-color:#000000;
background-image: url(http://www.sprunkers.com/fullmoonlj3.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-attachment: fixed;
}
I tried copying and pasting right from the LJ howto example, and NOTHING is working. does anybody know what the problem is?

Date: 2004-07-02 10:03 pm (UTC)every instance of an example of a bg image (that I found) is in its own line without a semicolon after. I have no idea why that would be, but it's worth a try.
That would mean you'd go
body {
background-image: url(http://www.sprunkers.com/fullmoonlj3.jpg) }
body {
background-color:#000000;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-attachment: fixed;
}
...I guess. If nothing else, the W3C page might help with further examination than I've given.

(I thought about you and Marks when i was putting my lego Shrieking Shack together, because it inexplicably came with neville's little toad. Perhaps the woobies have been making secret trips?)

Date: 2004-07-02 11:17 pm (UTC)You are always welcome to write for me, dearie. Heh.
If it strikes your fancy, Older-Weasley-boy/Sirius, with lettuce and a problematic ink stain. Or, you know, something else. Hee. I'm easy. (shh. don't tell marks.)
In other news, the CTY thing you're doing is the kids camp through Johns Hopkins? Smart kids doing smart shit? In which case, I would SO rather have your job than mine this summer. Sheesh.

Date: 2004-07-03 09:56 am (UTC)yeah, that's us, John Hopkins Geek Camp. Nut Free Site. It has been great so far, my instructor is really cool, and my first little solo teaching lessons have gone tolerably well.
The kids are like superhardcore though, we have to force them to take breaks and leave all their books and stuff in the room at night. they're like "noooo, don't take away our flashcards!"
