mousapelli: (five signs of the werewolf)

anybody else watch Inuyasha? cause the inuyasha/remus parallel is a bit strong.

cause Inuyasha (Remus), whose name means demon dog (wolflike), is a half-demon (half-blood) who gets cursed (bitten and cursed) and is subsequently stuck in a tree (Whomping Willow) until a dark-haired person in a school uniform who rides a (motor)bike comes and lets him out. He changes into a full human (full wolf) once a month during the new (full) moon.

It's just interesting, I think. I hear news that we might get the first two Inuyasha movies in English by the end of this year. *SQUEE*

I want to write Inuyasha/Kagome. Het, OHNO!

You know, I never thought about it that way, but you're right. (Have you been reading the manga translations online? Because :O!)

Het's okay, as long as it's done in moderation. And considering some of the crack-headed fic I've seen around, anything you bring to the table will be a blessing.

Just no Sesshoumaru/Kagome. I won't even look at it. *edges away from the crazy weird shippers*

*finally answers comment*

I never do anything with the manga, i just watch it on Cartoon Network. I'd buy the DVDs so i could see all the ones i'm missing, but who has that kind of money to spend? too much!

I am writing it as we speak. I haven't written het in so long, it's kind of hard!

Oh, there is so much story you have yet to know then. *tantalizes you with visions of Inuyasha*

You can do it, I have faith in you!

I didn't know how to contact you about this, so I hope doing it this way is OK.
I'm making a Tonks femslash archive, and I'd love to use your fic "Gender Gap", Hermione/Tonks, if that's OK?
If you don't want me to, that's fine, just let me know either way.

it's fine. And sure, go ahead and use the story if you want, so long as I'm clearly the author, you can do whatever you like. The more pimping the merrier, right?

Yes! I most certainly do watch Inu Yasha! An officer of the MIT anime club is lending me her CDs of it in exchange for my lending her my Full Metal Alchemist CDs, and I'm up to episode #23 and absolutely loving it. Inu Yasha is so adorable, and I adore the Inu Yasha/Kagome too!

Although I see the Inu Yasha/Remus parallels that you point out, Inu Yasha has never seemed very Remuslike to me. Remus tends to be more laid back than Inu Yasha, and although they can both get very defensive, one of my favorite aspects of Inu Yasha's personality is how he's so adorably prickly. He never wants to admit to himself how he really feels about Kagome (or anyone else, really), and that is something that has never struck me about Remus.

If you write Inu Yasha/Kagome, I'll certainly give it a try!

you are right, that they're personalities are really nothing alike, it was sort of the over-arching themes that i was interested in. Must be the Classicist in me, always looking for parallels in mass media.

i have started writing it. Het is hard!
