"And Harry's fifteen, he hates everything, that was blissful euphoria for Harry,

That line still CRACKS ME UP.

It's a lovely story, thanks for the beta cred! :)

Oh, that was WONDERFUL! The way you painted the picture of Remus' life before he went to the Ministry, the way the others treated him, the way that his feelings seemed dead, the 'conversation' between himself and Harry...I loved every single bit.

The way you wrote the part with him behind the Veil, too...gorgeously done. I loved your descriptions. My heart ached as they came out of the Veil and they snuffled at each other...gah. I'm STILL aching.

And the ending was very well done, as well. :D

I really liked the stuff with the crossword puzzle. I also liked the way you wrote Snape. The flashbacks were nicely interwoven and just the WAY that Sirius was brought back was simple but believable.

Once again, you are brilliant and I worship you on my hands and knees. *grovels*

I read your entry a day or two back and tried to find your journal to comment (my computer froze twice, of course), so sorry about the delay. Not that you'd know about it. But still.

I loved your story! It didn't make me cry! I laughed! It's perfect Remus/Sirius and I'm really happy you wrote it.

And...it was really good. (I am terrible at reviews. Also at leaving messages on the phone. But that has nothing to do with anything, sorry.)

Wonderful story. I'm not ordinarily a fan of Back from the Veil stories, but this one was terrific. Your device of having Moony find Sirius was a brilliant inspriation, his POV behind the Veil was impressive and so believable, and the parallel with MWPP era made the whole thing perfect. Sirius hasn't changed at all -- thumbing his nose at McGonagall in the past and Dumbledore in the present. Great characterizations, wonderful narrative structure, and so, so satisfying.

Hi. You said to comment, so I'm commenting. Four months and change after the post, but there ya go. I always was the slow one.

Anyway.

This was wonderful and amazing and made me SOB out loud, loud enough that I was worried I'd wake the house (it's four thirty) and you deserve comments for that. Comments and cookies and pimping. The smut was nice, and the stuff behind the veil was beautiful beyond words, but what really killed me, what slit me open from navel to neck and left me to bleed (and produce this amazing run on sentence of doom!) was this line: The phone thought for quite a bit before producing a badge that read "Remus Lupin: Just Waiting". because I've been there, and that sums up the deadness so well.

You write beautifully; I've been scouring your site for the last two days, and have been sending friends off to follow in my glittery footprints. I know I'm not terribly coherant [I blame the fact that I'm still crying for this. and the 4:30ness.] but I really wanted to tell you how amazing your work is. How your dialogue crackles, how your characters live and breathe, and how grateful I am for your Peter [I've always wanted to shake writers who make him all horrible. he was one of them, there was something that made him a Maurader] and how beautiful this is.

And now I'll shut up. :) But honestly, this was heartbreaking and amazing and I will be pimping it to all and sundry.

thank you so much! sorry for the delay in response but i am home with the soul-eating dial-up.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this, it's one of my favorite stories that I've written. I spent a long time trying to come up with what the phone would say to him, because that's kind of the heart of the story really, so I'm glad the message came through.

I'm happy to hear you've been enjoying the other stuff too! truth be told, i haven't updated my website in a long, far too long time, so the LJ memories is usually a better place to find more recent stuff. but your praise for my Peter especially makes me squee because that's one of the things I work the hardest on, and there isn't a lot of good peter going around, a fact that always makes me grit my teeth.

so thank you, thank you!

*points to bunnymcfoo* She has done what she threatened- she's pimped out a lot of your fic, especially to me.

I just wanted to say that I adore your writing and your portrayal of the characters. :D Good job; I hope to read much more of your stuff in the future!
