so, i'm reading Arrian's the Campaigns of Alexander, and there's one part that says:

"[Darius] making for Issus, established himself without being perceived in Alexander's rear...Alexander, not trusting the report that Darius was in his rear..."

and all i could think was: "Cartman! There's a 50-foot satellite sticking out of your ass!"

"Screw you guys, you guys are just messing with me!"

im glad i read your entry AFTER my greek history final. i was stuck on a question, what was the last battle darius III fought with alexander. that would have totaly screwed me over. ha. screwed.

one time i got extra points from Harriet Flower for doodling sacred chickens on the back of a quiz in Roman History. I'm not sure i recommend the same for Darius being in Alexander's rear...

wait ROMAN historians? dont you mean greek? you have been doing too much latin!! last time i checked, Thucydides was greek. and i dont think id forget translating those speeches. ;-)

no no, i meant Latin. Arrian, the Alexander historian, is Latin. 1st century AD.

woohoo! well, i'll be around certainly, teaching the kiddies Greek. I even bought Harry Potter in Ancient Greek when i was in Montreal last weekend.

ahhh see i was reading about alexander in thucydides (since it was, after all greek history hehehe)

ya you should know that i tend to skip over words that i dont know what they mean. like Arrian. so now i know. :-D whoo hoo maybe that information will come in use soon.

yay for harry potter in greek in honestly surprised it took you so long!! i got a copy for christmas. im hoping for a german copy for my birthday. so now i will have it in english, spanish, ancient greek, and german. wow.

when you are here teaching kiddies greek you should come help your favorite kiddie. :-D
