Noooo they're all multiple choice so it's ok! You only have to start worrying if you take the KanKen because THAT involves a lot of writing. And I think they're picky about stroke order/whether you stop or flick that kind of thing DX

oh good! I thought I would have to learn to be proficient, lol. But honestly it's not like even in Japan random people will be like "write a sentence for me, foreigner."

I'm pretty sure anything that involves stroke order is out, lol. In fact, anything that involves me even writing my own name in Katakana is out. thank god for the computer!

omg applications ganbatte! It'll all be over soon. My younger brother sent out all his grad school applications in December and so far has been rejected by 3/6 schools, not including the one he's sure he won't get into, so he's kind of freaking out.

there was a moment when i looked at the schedule on teh board and it was like "Writing portion" that I nearly had a breakdown, but 'writing' apparently meant 'tell me via multiple choice which kanji i want' and i will do that all day long. LOL i probably could talk for awhile about the economy and JE. except for not knowing words for things like 'the economy'.

Haha, that JLPT is enough for me, yo. although maybe once my reading is passable so I don't spend so much time on it I'll want to try other stuff. Have you taken that one before? are there different levels to that one too?

Aw, it's tough to leave a uni that you've really enjoyed. I'd go back to my undergraduate uni in a heartbeat (and i'd take japanese there which i totally should have done the first time instead of taking totally idiotic classes like Computer Art).

Hahaha. But seriously, how can multiple choice tell you how proficient you are? I guessed so many of mine D:

There are like ... 10 different levels? (I think 2 and 1 have 2 separate parts to them) 10 is the lowest and aimed for primary schools where as 1 is the highest and aimed at those who are working.

Well, I'm re-applying to the uni I'm in now so it's ok, but the hassle. And it's bad because the student loan doesn't do UG loans so I have to try and figure out another means of borrowing money so I can be in even more debt than I already am 8D Computer Art sounds like fun though! :O But how do you go from Computer Art to Latin/Greek teacher?!
